Anders Svor Museum

The Anders Svor Museum is idyllically located by Hornindalsvatnet. The architect-designed building from 1953, surrounded by a beautiful sculpture park, is dedicated the sculptor Anders Svor.
The museum houses a collection of almost 600 objects; from sketches to several of Svor's most central works, such as the plaster sculpture Ung pike (1895) and the bronze fountain Bylgja (1913). The permanent exhibition gives a unique insight into Anders Svor's working methods, his circle of motifs, his typology and his stylistic development from a detailed naturalism via classicism to symbolism.
