Anders Svor Museum

The Anders Svor Museum is idyllically located by Hornindalsvatnet. The architect-designed building from 1953, surrounded by a beautiful sculpture park, is dedicated the sculptor Anders Svor.

The museum has a collection of nearly 600 objects, from sketches to several of Svor's most important works, such as the plaster sculpture Young Girl (1895) and the bronze fountain Bylgja (1913). The permanent exhibition provides a unique insight into Anders Svor's working methods, his motifs, typology and stylistic development from detailed naturalism via classicism to symbolism. The Anders Svor Museum is part of the regional museum Viti.
