Volda Bygdetun og Garveriet (Volda rural yard and Tannery)

Volda bygdetun has over 20 houses arranged like a regular Sunnmøre farm from the mid-19th century. Here you can see how people lived and worked in the past. The oldest house is a bed shed (loft) from the 16th century. A schoolhouse with a large collection of old school equipment also belongs to the village collection. The yard is beautifully located at the foot of Rotsethornet and with a view of the fjord. In addition to the houses on Haueleite, Volda Bygdetun also has the Tannery Museum down by the shore and Mylnefallet on Øvre Rotset.
