In Glimmerdalen¨(the Mica Valley), 950 meters above sea level, there is a simple cabin that was refurbished around 1997. The historical background is "Osdalen's Glimmercompany" (Osdalen Mica Company), which engaged in extraction of large flakes of mica.

The cottage can be raw in the wintertime, but a fireplace and firewood are available. There is sleeping space for four, but the foot ends overlap. You must bring your own sleeping bag and a storm kitchen. You can get drinking water in the river nearby, and there is an outdoor toilet.

Glimmerdalshytta is unattended and is open for free use by everyone.
