Something for everyone

Right in the heart of Ørsta and surrounded by beautiful mountains lies Tik - a combined lunch restaurant and café with local and seasonal food on the menu. The experienced chef, Ying Tang, has previously worked at well-known restaurants in both Ålesund and Oslo. General manager Joanne Picton Aarseth and a group of other food enthusiasts welcome you to a dining experience, where local, seasonal ingredients form the basis for all the dishes. Everyone is welcome, and the exciting menu has something for every taste.

Tik also has a theme night one Friday each month, where the theme can range from Asian night to five-course fine dining.

Tik Café and restaurant is named after the Viking woman Tik, who is believed to be buried in the Giant's Mound, which is just a few stone's throw from the restaurant. The woman in the burial mound must have held an important position in the local community, so it is fitting that the town is named after her. In any case, the love of the local is evident at Tik - both in terms of food and atmosphere. Many of the ingredients, including meat and fish, come from local suppliers, and the menu includes local delicacies from both the mountains and the fjord.
