The Coctail Slippers

Trandalrock 2024

The program for the annual rock festival at Christian Gaard Bygdetun is ready, and the stage is set for another success!

BigBang

"Bigbang is a treasure, a primordial force in Norwegian rock's time, and in its best moments draws large crowds with pure energy and audience appeal (...) It's simply one of the best things we've ever seen from BigBang." (Dagsavisen about the concert at Øyafestivalen August 12, 2023, dice roll 6)

It's easy to forget that Bigbang is a trio, that everything you hear and see only comes from three musicians. Whereas most rock bands need four or even five members to keep the ship afloat, the classic trio relies on musical skill, dynamics and multitasking. Bass, drums and a guitar, it's the most demanding but perhaps also the most noble band format. When it works, it can be magical. Just look at Cream, Nirvana or The Jimi Hendrix Experience. With Bigbang, it works.

(Press release from the band)

Best known for the songs "Wild Bird", "Girl in Oslo" and "To the Mountains"

It is a great pleasure to welcome Øystein Greni and the rest of the band to Trandal and the beautiful Hjørundfjord.

Luxury liver pâté

"Luxus Leverpostei consists of 5 happy guys - mainly from Kvinesdal - in their prime. Luxus has been playing all over the country for 25 years, and they have become skilled! They have received very positive feedback from the audience [...] the intention is that people who go to a concert should experience something, not just listen. [...] Luxus has become "a little" more rocky." On Friday, Luxus Leverpostei will visit Trandal! Most people are probably familiar with the songs and lyrics of Luxus Leverpostei, and will sing along to the most famous songs; "Bare 4 år" and "Plastisk Kirurgi". We look forward to a high sing-along factor and a great atmosphere!

Rammsund

(The Rammstein of Norwegian)

The band has a tradition of playing a headlining concert the day before German Rammstein's Norwegian concert in the same city as a kind of "Rammsteinvorspiel".

The Cocktail Slippers

"Cocktail Slippers is a rock band from Oslo, known for their fabulous rock 'n roll songs, brilliant live performances and their years of collaboration with Little Steven Van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band."

Silver Trail

Silver Trail is a rock band from Sunnmøre. The band members are Knut Eilefsen (drums), Martin Foldal (bass), Per Arne Bjørkedal (vocals) and Frank Utgård (guitar). Silver Trail's music is melodic rock with punch and catchy choruses. Silver Trail has released 16 original songs on the album "Late arrival".

MAK

MAK is a Norwegian/Icelandic band. Their unique sound is a mix of rock-influenced pop, with deep roots in both post-rock and ambient music. MAK's sound is still under development, and the upcoming album is not quite the same as we know MAK today.

The first single they released; "Sirens" in 2021, received a good response. Later that year, they released the single "Unsolved". In 2022, the first EP "My Broken Mind" was released.

Backstage Girls

Siggen (Sigbjørn Follestad), Gard Austrheim and Frode Sundnes will of course also be there this year. They open the festival on Friday, and have become Trandalrock's regular feature, more like a house band. With well-known hits, they play so that all the season sounds and rock feet shake. A good atmosphere is promised from start to finish.
