The hosts at Rekkedal guest house welcome small and large groups and companies on request. Here you get tailor-made experiences in a cultural-historical environment with a focus on good food and drink, culture and dramatic nature. The hosts prepare all the food themselves, and the food philosophy is based on high-quality local ingredients mixed with tradition and inspiration from home and abroad. There is no set menu, but the hosts would like to come up with suggestion according to budget and desire.
There are several different party venues here. Nyefjøset, Nyestova, Grindløda, Vinstova and Gamlestova. Each venue has its own character, from the elaborately decorated Nyestova to the more rustic Grindløda.
Guests are welcomed in one of the houses. The hosts tell the storie about the farm, serve local specialities, sparkling wine or elderflower lemonade from the farm. The host today is generation number 20, and the farm has a history dating back to the year 500, the Late Iron Age. The houses on the farm are from the end of the 16th century onwards, all well preserved and open to guests.
