Kilselva and Bjørkedalsvassdraget

Open between June 15-August 15

Kilselva and Bjørkedalsvassdraget stretch from Kilspollen to Stigedalsvassdraget and are divided into 3 zones.

Bjørkedalsvatnet and its rivers are divided into two parts: Nøre Bjørkedal with Fureåkreelva, and Bjørkedal utmarkslag with Helsetelva, Laurdalselva and others. Information about fishing rules and fishing licenses can be found at Facebook page

Bjørkedal utmarkslag (Sørdalen) also sells fishing licenses via fishing license boxes, in addition to digital fishing licenses via inatur.no

Vike river, Bjørke

Open between June 15 and August 31.

Known for large salmon, need precipitation to get a good run of salmon.

The river is best for fishing with bait.

Bondal river

Bondalselva is open for light fishing from June 15 - August 1

The river runs through Bondalen to Sæbø by the Hjørundfjord in Ørsta municipality and is one of the best salmon rivers in Møre og Romsdal. 

Sale offishing licenses

Sale of fishing licenses at Joker Sæbø. Outside opening hours there is a sale of licenses at Hjørundfjord camping. In addition Bondalselva Camping a couple of cards.

You are allowed to fish 1 salmon per card/time period. If you catch 1 salmon, you must wait until the next time period to continue fishing. Maximum 2 salmon per day per angler and maximum 3 salmon per week/angler. Annual quota 10 salmon per fisherman. If you catch 3 salmon per week, you can continue fishing the following week. After a catch of 10 salmon, fishing in Bondalselva is over for the season. The minimum size of the fish is 35 cm.

There is no opportunity to fish for Trout in 2024 due to low stocks.

Due to low water levels and low inflow, light fishing will be introduced in Bondalselva from 24.06.24

Light fishing is fishing with:

a) flies where a floating dummy or fly line constitutes the throwing weight

b) mackerel with or without pad.

Searching is forbidden.

Switches or wobblers are prohibited.

The daily quota has been reduced to 1 salmon per fish/day and 2 per week.

Lifting of restrictions will be announced here.

Mandatory disinfection of fishing equipment. There is a disinfection station below Hustadbrua.

The board may implement reductions in the event of low water levels or similar.

Øyraelva (Volda) it is being considered to open for sea trout fishing from July 1. This will be published in the event here

Reporting requirements :

- All forms of fishing

- Catch reporting (reporting requirements regardless of whether you catch fish or not).

- Reporting of pink salmon and suspected sick fish on river guide
